Curtis M. Loftis Jr. is currently serving his fourth term as the State Treasurer of South Carolina since his first election in 2010 and plays a pivotal role in the state's financial health and governance. In his capacity, Loftis effectively manages over $67 billion in public funds, ensuring South Carolina's prestigious credit ratings remain intact. He's markedly improved the state's Unclaimed Property Program and has significantly expanded the Future Scholar 529 College Savings Plan and the Palmetto ABLE Savings Program, aiding individuals with disabilities.
Loftis's tenure has seen a return of more than $335 million in unclaimed funds to South Carolinians and the Future Scholar 529 Plan's assets quadruple to over $5.7 billion. Under his guidance, the Palmetto ABLE Savings Plan has rapidly grown, now holding $30.7 million in assets. A staunch advocate for transparency, accountability, and fiscal prudence, his initiatives have greatly benefited state governance and its citizens, particularly in areas like financial education and public pension reforms.
Holding critical leadership positions such as Chairman of the State Board of Financial Institutions and involvement in several state and national treasurer associations, Loftis's commitment to public service and financial stewardship has been widely recognized and honored.
Beyond his political and financial responsibilities, Loftis, a University of South Carolina alumnus and Lexington County native, is a successful entrepreneur and the founder of the Saluda Charitable Foundation, reflecting his deep commitment to both his community and state.

John D. Cattano is a lifelong entrepreneur, philanthropist, and is currently the Managing Partner with Portage Real Estate, LLC.
John's foundation in the real estate sector was laid early on, having spent his high school and college summer months working for a construction company. This experience instilled in him a comfortability on development sites, a reverence for the tangible results of construction, and an appreciation for the collective efforts of every individual on a job site. Moreover, John's tenure in private equity and investment banking—where he was integral to complex leveraged buyouts—further emphasized the importance of meticulous attention to detail and the ability to condense and communicate vast amounts of information into succinct, persuasive presentations to sophisticated investment groups. Through this, John honed core strengths in communication, analysis, intellectual curiosity, and relationship-building, all of which have been pivotal in advancing his career.
Outside of his professional endeavors, John is deeply passionate about the outdoors, history, and the preservation of natural resources and historical architecture and landmarks. An avid fly fisher, he has a particular fondness for wild trout streams and frequently indulges in fly fishing expeditions across Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. John's days are often brightened at the sight of an Eastern Bluebird, a simple pleasure that speaks to his appreciation for nature's beauty.
